Tampa, FL - December 2004

It was time for another, long overdue, trip and my buddy Steve had been bugging me to come to Florida for a visit since he moved down there. I'm somewhat embarrassed to say that was 13 or 14 years ago now, shame on me. Steve lives in Seminole, south west of Tampa.

So it seemed to make sense to pack up and take a little "R & R" venture to the land of oranges and sandbars.

The hosts with the most; Steve and Jill were gracious enough to open their home as a bed and breakfast. (actually more like a four star resort)

Rented a Road King Custom from Tony Capo at Jim's Harley Davidson in St. Petersburg for the day on Friday.

The Sky View bridge (route 275) going over Tampa Bay. Incredible views from the top on the way heading south to Sarasota.
A stop at Sarasota Jungle Gardens was a nice way to spend a couple of hours.

I think I scared the bird..........

Spent part of the day on Saturday looking for shells and wandering the beach at Fort DeSeto state park.

This little guy was looking for a handout, he walked right up to the car.

Steve was imparting some of his knowledge of the area's history.

A morning walk through a local art festival helped to work off breakfast.
